Gynecomastia (Male Breast)

Gynecomastia is overdevelopment of the male breast tissue in response to too much estrogen or too little testosterone. Being overweight and aging also leads to excessive fat deposits in the chest giving it a droopy appearance.

Laser Liposuction of Gynecomastia

This fatty tissue can be removed with laser liposuction. This procedure is performed in the office, under local anesthesia. The fat is melted using a laser and suctioned out with a cannula through a tiny, inconspicuously placed, stab incision. Additionally, the laser leads to skin tightening. This results in a flatter chest, tighter skin, and more masculine appearance. With this minimally invasive approach, a large areolar incision is not needed. The procedure takes about 1 hour and patients can go to work the next day with minimal discomfort.
